I have been loving Beyonce Knowles’ Alexander McQueen, Donna Karan Resort metallic sequin cold shoulder gown is beautiful, it’s very reminiscent of the days when Tina Knowles was head stylist for Destiny’s Child.
Yes it is a performance dress, but there is too much bling going on for me.
Beyonce wore this dress when she performed for the 2008 Christmas in Rockefeller Center, which will air tonight on NBC.
Beyonce wouldn’t be Beyonce without a bedazzled dress. She sounded great though.

awesome how you had this posted before the show even aired! anyway, I didnt like this dress on her at all. The cut of the sleeves and the way it wrapped around her waist along with the glitter on the nude material…it was all just way too much.

i think this kind of dress looks better when it skims the body as on the runway. when it’s this tight, it cheapens the look a bit. but i do applaud her for not overaccessorizing, which she tended to do before even with elaborate dresses.

She performed her album version of “Ave Maria.” It was probably the best performance of the night – really boring show. She looks like a robot, but she has great makeup.

look, beyonce looks great. she doesn’t have to dress one way everytime just to get your approval. she looks good in the dresses no matter if their blinged out or made out of foam, folded paper, metal, whatever…accept it!

I must say I am surprised at your response, or should I say attack.
This dress does not look good on her in my opinion and in the opinion of a lot of people it seems.
She does not need my approval, I am not her stylist, her mother, nor her husband, but the purpose of my site is to critique what people wear. If that offends you then I don’t understand your logic of coming to this site.
My point is, what is the point is making such strong style statements Gareth Pugh and Alexander McQueen if you are always going to keep going back to what looks like a Tina Knowles creation?

Well honestly…… I don’t even think Tina Knowles has that much creativity or patience when it comes to makin’ dresses…… those beads and sequins takes a long time to apply……. and most of those Elie Saab dresses she normally wears…….. are most likely made by hand……
When Destiny’s Child was about….. they looked like they had on the same fabric…… but one was either pants, skirt, shorts, or vest…… and nothin’ extra…… so bland……
And that House Of Dereon looks tacky as hell…….. and it really shows how much of a designer Tina Knowles isn’t……
