Runway To The Grand Opening of Atlantis Stage – Kylie Minogue In Jean Paul Gaultier Couture

The pint-sized popstar that is Kylie Minogue performed on stage for the first time in the Middle East at the landmark Grand Opening of Atlantis, The Palm Resort and the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai last night.

The star performed a 45 minute set, for which she was reportedly paid an astonishing Â£1.5million.

For that kind of money it is not wonder that she could afford to splash out on a custom Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2008 Couture ensemble.

As you can see the jodhpurs Kylie is wearing have a sequined detail, whereas the runway version have a suede detail.

Her gold shimmering blouse, also has the added detail of a lace collar and sparkly bow.

The singer later changed into an even more sparkly number of a pink sequined shirt, sequin embellished waistcoat, sequined bow-tie and black sequin pants.

Kylie’s stage costumes are always fun and she really understands what dressing for a show is about.
I’m loving her partnership with Gaultier, it suits her well. The KylieX2008 costumes are great also.

i love kyliw with a passion, she is my ultimate kylie icon, but i hate her and JPG together, to me his clothes needs a certain attitude to look good in them, and kylie doesnt have that attitude, they just look like cheap fancy dress costumes.

I agree with Robbie. As a fellow Aussie, I love Kylie but this look doesn’t fit her image. Plus Madonna already did the jodhpurs and equestrian look last year. Just proves whether it’s style or music, where the queen of pop goes, the little one will follow…
Speaking of that f.c, you should check out Madonna stage outfits, many are modified ysl and Givenchy paired with custom made heels from miu miu, stella and more!

This look may not suit kylie’s image (though I think it does!)
People have too realise that she is performing in a Muslim country and as such,is honouring and respecting the customs and traditions.
Which is why in my eyes she is Number One!
