Gwyneth Paltrow took a massive risk wearing this Antonio Berardi Spring 2009 dress last night to the Two Lovers premiere in Paris.

I know this dress will divide us like no other.

Me? I love it - not Best Dressed of the Week love it, but love the risk she took, and this is despite the fact that I can see her underwear, but I would be more horrified if I didn’t in this dress.

The white dress has lace panels at the front, which includes a well place, doubled lace panel up front and center.

Her black and white Rupert Sanderson Kit Kat shoe boots complimented her dress very well.

I must say the new improved Gwynie is much more interesting than the old microbiotic diet Gwynie.

Her booties are available from Net-A-Porter’s US site for $1,100 and the international site for £615/€770.

I bought those booties in black on black (ie the inside flap is black patent leather, the outside black leather) and they are super sexy shoes but to see them with white is ugly in my opinion because most people will think she’s wearing tacky white ankle socks which is unfortunate.

the dress is lovely but when paired with the shoes something went wrong.

I don’t like the shoes. I think I might have swung over to liking the dress without the shoes and I think it looks better on a brunette.

The dress has that lace detail - and, btw, is it a fashion faux pas to wear dark underwear when you have revealing panels? - and I think anything else worn with it takes away from looking at the dress.

Overall? Does not like. On her.

i just love everything in this ensemble…gwynie is fantastic, she is already a classic beauty, so with “unclassic” clothes is simply perfect!!

love the dress, but the color of her underwear in not good! that’s the stupid mistake that ruined the dress!!

i absolutely love the dress she’s wearing, and i love the booties too. but i DON’T like them worn together. the dress is a statement in itself, she could have stuck to black pumps…patent preferably. i thought she was wearing socks with the booties because of the white panel and that turned me off immediately. but she looks great in the dress. and those booties are gorgeous…but she shouldn’t have worn them together.

The dress is very sexy. The booties, I think, were a wrong choice. It would have worked better with something strappy.

I agree with the boots looking like they are socks, but I am still loving her for wearing that dress.

It looks like Giambattista Valli, but it is actually a vintage dress.

    Thanks for the love

    I’m torn.
Can’t quite work out whether i like it or not.

Was a right choice with the white underwear though, removes the tackyness from it, if she had worn black it would have been a “look at my sexy underwear in my seethrough dress”
    - maybe nude colour would have worked better though?

agree about the boots though - looks too much like socks

I love it. It’s fun to experiment. God, she only wore it for a couple of hours, it’s not like it’s a lifetime commitment.

this dress is gorgeous on her, but i think flesh coloured underwear would have looked alot better, but im sure when she left the house she couldnt see her underwear, but the flash would have showed them of alot.

from the ankles up = perfection!!!!!

Gwyneth Paltrow en el estreno de su film Two Lovers en Paris. La actriz llevaba un transparente vestido negro y blanco de Antonio Berardi primavera 2009 y de zapatos escogió unos botines también en blanco y negro de Rupert Sanderson.
