Lauren Conrad’s Spring 2009 collection was, as usual, far from groundbreaking, but I did love the floral headbands.

The designs were not too dissimilar to what we have seen before. The thing that was new, was the black trim on some of the pieces.

The collection included maxi, strapless, halter, and one-shoulder dresses. High-waisted shorts, one-shouldered tops were also featured, as well as high-waisted skirts and leggings.

The only dress, I really liked was the strapless polka dot dress with the black trim.

If you are a Lauren fan, no doubt you will love it, but I was very underwhelmed, despite expecting to be underwhelmed by this collection.

One of the many perks for Lauren Bosworth as Lauren Conrad’s current BFF means she gets a Spring 2009 Look 38 exclusive.

She was clever enough to pick out one of the better pieces.

Angela Simmons and Vanessa Simmons showed off their fabulous style at this event, which begs the question, what were they doing at Lauren Conrad’s show?

Angela wore a blush pink bustier and a red skirt with two-tone Louis Vuitton wedges. Her sister Vanessa was a lot more casual in a white shirt, black leggings and Christian Louboutin’s ‘Anemone’ stiletto’s.

Lauren Conrad almost had a wardrobe malfunction on the runway, as she took in the applause wearing a self designed black strapless dress, with a thigh high split.

There’s no way she would be allowed to show this collection in any of the 4 major fashion weeks. The whole collection is boring and dull.

I do like the last few floral pieces though.

i too am very underwhelmed by this collection, but i like lauren conrad. she seems like a nice girl. i want her to continue making collections because i am hoping that she grows as a designer. if by her ss2010 show she’s still turning out looks like this then i would be more than a little alarmed.

It’s like Lauren is completely unaware of what is currently happening in fashion. Her line is boring and uninspired. It is comical that she gets to have her own fashion show to present these lackluster items. There is nothing “designer” about them.

Isn’t that girl Lo, not Kate Bosworth?

    Erika

    Her name is Lauren Bosworth.

She is called ‘Lo’ on The Hills to so we don’t confuse her with Lauren Conrad.

I will guess you meant Lauren Bosworth and not Kate Bosworth the actress in your message, because they are polls apart.

Yes, that’s right. Still, no offence, but my point was that you have tagged Kate Bosworth for this event, even though she would (and didn’t) never attend a Lauren Conrad fashion show. Also, I love your blog! :)

BORING! this collection, just like all her previous collections have been boring, unoriginal and pretty much cheap looking. even the dress she is wearing looks bland and dull.

I agree Mila Lauren’s hair looks so cute! The collection overall nothing special… maybe she was challenged to how many outfits she could get out of 4 types of material lol :)

Although nothing groundbreaking she is improving. In 2 more years, she might be putting good collection out. They also need to fire that Lady who she works with Sherry Wood and hire someone who will help her be more creative.
