Oscar de la Renta Cruise 2009

The Oscar de la Renta Cruise 2009 collection for full of bright citrus colours and daring bold prints.

The Dominican Republic-born designer's Caribbean influences came through with the strong colours, the light tunics and the ethnic prints. The colours most vividly used were tangerine, mustard, azure blue and bright green.

On display were high waisted trousers, loose fitting dresses, sheaths, tunics, blouses, silk palazzo pants, skirt suits, pant suits and red carpet gowns.

One of my favourite pieces was the strapless aquamarine organza gown, with a fitted bodice which was followed by a wave of ruffles on the skirt.
