Milan Fashion Week – Burberry & Jil Sander

Burberry Prorsum’s Fall 2008 collection had many heavy winter coats of varying sleeve lengths, with fingerless gloves and knitted beanies kept out the chill.

Necklaces on the coats and most pieces added a touch of glamour.

The slim satin bellbottom trousers were my favourite pieces, followed by the feathered cocktail dresses.

I am a girl who loves, sequins, embellishments, beading and high end glamour, but I am so in love with this mininmalist, very well tailored collection from Jil Sander. I would go as far as to say this is one my favourite collections of the Fall 2008 season.

The jackets and coats collars were twisted, highlighted and sculpted around the necks of the models.

Despite the structured pieces, everything was very wearable.

agreewith you, the jil ander is very wearable and “real life” but still beautiful and chic and sharp. it’s nice to see designs on the runway tat you could easily war in yor real daily life (if only you had the funds!).
i’m a big burberry fan. i love the coats this time. some of the styling reminded me of very wang (the skirt shapes and big neck accessories).
