Recently Christopher Kane said that Victoria Beckham was not fit to wear his clothes, that he has worked too hard for his clothes to be seen on the front of tabloid newspapers.

At the time I was enraged. How dare he say who should wear his clothes.

Then I see Kim Kardashian ruining wearing Herve Leger to nearly every event she has attended lately, and suddenly I have some empathy for Christopher Kane, and start to understand were he is coming from.

Lauren Goldstein Crowe from Fashion Inc. lists the following as brand killers.

1. Anyone who rose to fame via My Space
2. Anyone who rose to fame via reality TV
3. Anyone more famous for who they married than what they do

I think Lauren should add as number 4, Kim Kardashian.

Herve Leger never envisioned his designs to be over stretched like this. He never envisioned dregs of society to be proudly showing off his designs as if they were auditioning for a part in a Hip Hip video.

Herve dresses supermodels like Elle MacPherson, Cindy Crawford and celebrities like Princess Stephanie of Monaco. He designed the wedding gown for Iman when she married David Bowie, this is the calibre of clients he designs for, clients that consistently win Best Dressed Of The Week.

I hope she can be stopped before she kills this brand. SOMEONE STOP HER. PLLLLEEEEAAASSEEE

I’ve never laugh at such ‘class’ Kim K demonstrates on the red carpet! And to think she was a stylist prior to that sex tape fiasco!

‘overstretched’…? So just because she’s not 6 ft size 2 means she can’t wear the bandage dresses? Kim looks hot, and anyone who thinks that a designer would be ashamed to have her wear their clothes is only reinforcing the idea that high fashion is only a fantasy. It doesn’t have to be! Okay we might not all be as endowed as Kim, but her figure is more representative of women across the world than any super model is. Fashion should be accessible, and seeing a curvy girl wears Herve Leger confidently should be inspire us! It’s one thing to call someone out for looking like a mess; but to be so cruel to a fellow female for simply showing off a natural womanly figure is just catty. Girl Power!

    OMG SOMEONE PLEASE STOP HER.
I think it’s an insult to Leger having her wear his designs in such a tacky way!

The overstretch comment was not referring to her height.

Hayden Panettiere is 5ft 1in and she looked great in her pink Herve Leger this weekend.

She wears these dresses very well. Better than any stick figure model or coke-head celebrity. Her curves are nothing to be ashamed about. He should be thankful, because I’m pretty sure his sales have increased since she’s been photographed wearing his merchandise. This is how a Herve’ Leger should fit.

Kim looks great in Hervé Léger. She actually started the whole brand it seems. Her body looks amazing in such a tight dress. I don’t know why you think she should have stopped. Jealous much?
